About Mrs H's Cakes

Hi there, this is me, Emma, the cake maker: Mrs. H. I create bespoke cakes for every special occasion, ranging from exquisitely detailed wedding cakes to playful and vibrant birthday cakes, and everything in between. I live in beautiful Braunton, North Devon, with my ever eager taste testers: Mr H, Mini-me, the Twin Teens, our dog Max and a very grumpy old cat.

My journey began, years ago, with a novelty cake for my twin boys' third birthday. I was fairly adept at baking, but it was time to get creative with the decorations. Despite grand visions, my first attempt yielded a lopsided dinosaur - a far cry from what I had envisioned (I haven't included THAT picture - the shame is too much!). Yet, with each passing year, my enthusiasm for crafting intricate cakes grew and grew - not unlike my now massive teenage boys! 

  As my cake-making talents rose like a perfectly baked sponge, so did my enthusiasm for spreading sweetness. The beaming smiles of my nearest and dearest, upon feasting their eyes (and mouths) on my creations, became the cherry on top of my confectionery journey. Now, I revel in whipping up delectable masterpieces for all to savour and can't wait to sprinkle a dash of joy on your celebratory occasions with your loved ones.
